What is a Yurt?
Though generally classified as a tent, the yurt is much stronger and weathertight. Tomlinson Run yurts are a circular structure of a durable fabric cover, tension band and a wood frame that includes a lattice wall, radial rafters, central compression ring and a framed door.
Yurt rental is a unique offering at Tomlinson Run and is perfect for the novice camper. All yurts come complete with a cooler, a propane stove, lantern, picnic table and cookware.
There are four rental yurts and two sizes available.
12 foot yurt
Sleeps two with a set of bunk beds, two available
Rental fee: $35/$40 per night.
20 foot yurt
Sleeps five with a twin/full bunk bed and another set of twin bunk beds, two available
Rental fee: $45/night (2 available)
Yurt reservations are accepted beginning February 15 by mail only for the period from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day and are handled in the same manner as a regular campsite rental.
